Rose The One for women is a simple, linear rose. It comes out upfront, and is mixed with citrus notes in a quite pleasant way. After a couple of minutes, it takes the full stage with a quiet and fruity and also green, almost harsh quality. It’s not that sexy (but it wasn’t meant for that), and it’s mixed with a second, more delicate floral in the background.
Even if it’s green and surrounded by fruits, rose has a very thin layer of plastic, and also a peppery side. That’s one of the things I love about thins floral: even when it’s kept at bay, or it’s given a certain inclination, there’s still a small corner to remind you of what it could be. On the blotter it runs less fast, returning a more natural-smelling rose, like the ones my mom grows in her garden.
Rose The One Perfume D&G is a solid, reliable rose, with no excesses. It flows green and smooth, with just a hint of acidity, and it will be spot-on for an elegant presence in the office. The original The One is deeper, but this one is open to a wider range of everyday occasions.
