Gracious Tuberose is the second of the five fragrances of the Gucci Flora Garden Collection (after Glamorous Magnolia) you can find here. It starts by doing justice to its adjective: it’s gracious, pure and awesome, with fruity tones mixed with soapy floral notes. Tuberose is notoriously an intense floral (Carnal Flower, anyone?) but in this case it feels sparkling, vivid and natural. There’s no aggressiveness, just soapy peacefulness.
After about one hour, in the middle notes, the floral in Gucci Flora Gracious Tuberose will push a bit harder, but what would normally be a dense and nose-clogging (and probably a bit stinky too) tuberose, here it’s just a hazy, slightly powdery halo. The fruity notes somehow keep on blending in, but – luckily – not enough to call this one a fruity floral. In the base notes it will keep the warmish and gentle floral core with a hint of fruits, but instead of going warmer it goes greener.
Gracious Tuberose is simple and exciting, and although quite gentle, it has enough intensity to last more than 5-6 hours. It will be wasted for the cold season, but as spring shows its head, just get it and spread some Monday to Friday joy. Leave it at home for crazy night-outs though, it’s too young and innocent for certain things.
