Diesel Fuel For Life Denim Review: Long Live Metrosexuals

Diesel Fuel For Life Denim Collection For Him Fragrance

Diesel Fuel For Life Denim Collection For Him Fragrance

Here is a citrusier version of the original Fuel For Life Homme, part of the Denim collection launched for summer 2011. The opening is – like the original – with cold anise and citrus, then  the additional soft floral notes of lavender make this Denim perfume clean and delicate and pretty much unisex for a good while. At least until the woods kick in, and they will be warmish and slightly sweet until the end.

It’s floral and fresh and tingles the nose with the woods: put this together with the imagery of the Diesel ad (the Fuel For Life Denim Collection song Born To Be Alive is a cover by Paolo Nutini) and you know that the macho as we knew him is long dead. Fresh, tingly, and hairless are now the words.

Anyway, I liked the original, but I like better this one, and I already know I’ll buy it: it’s unsophisticated, catchy, and masculine enough: if we have to die metrosexuals, so be it.

EDIT  22/01/2013: nice frag, but I can’t wait to finish the bottle so I can buy new stuff.

(very, very subtle sexual hint in this Diesel perfume ad)
