Bvlgari Black Review: Rubber And Flowers After The Fire

Bvlgari Black

Someone set fire to a piece of rubber and then put out the flames with a bunch of flowers. That is, in very few words, what Bulgari Black feels like. The floral note of the start is soon twisted with a layer of soapy, burnt leather, and a bitter back-smell.   Compared to the skin, the florals have more power on the blotter, and the fragrance is fresher. Gris Clair Perfume Review

This one goes straight into my wish list, and it will stay there for a while, as it’s pretty darn expensive (about 100$ for a 50ml bottle).   Serge Lutens Gris Clair opens with lavender, whose smell is normally pleasant and fresh, but also potentially flat and boring. Vetyver Jo Malone Cologne Review

Vetyver by Jo Malone starts citrus and clean; orange is listed, but it’s so alive, fresh, stinging and full of sourness, to be actually closer to lemon. Calvin Klein Ck One Summer 2012 Review

The result of the formula “CK One + Summer + bright green bottle” would lead to imagine this as a super-fresh thing. Well, it’s not. I mean, it’s still all fresh and summery and all, just don’t expect a waterfall of lemon notes.   Although it starts citrus, it soon becomes aromatic and even slightly spicy, and overall fairly warm-ish. Your summer should have a nice air conditioning system to wear this comfortably enough, and a transpiration coming from direct […] Read more »
