Bottega Veneta Eau de Parfum Review: Nostalgic Jasmine

Bottega Veneta EdP opens citrusy, floral and warm, with a pleasant acidity that smells quite clean. The warmth is given by a note of pepper, which leaves a small stain on what would otherwise be a nice, but a bit boring couple. It’s a gentler version of Narciso Rodriguez For Her if you will.

And after 1-2 hours, the same ol’ magic of perfumes occurs, when angles are rounded off, and lines of separation are less clear: pepper grows more present, sending away the brightness of the beginning, and the perfume becomes something other than the parts it’s made of. The clean, placid couple of the beginning has grown older and wiser and it’s a pale memory of the beginning. Bottega Veneta perfume for women is now a jasmine in a vase, on the balcony of an old house. The window is open, letting a nostalgic soft wind come in.

It will be perfect for an everyday use, with a touch of class, but it’s begging not to be worn in special occasions.
